Four materials cover almost every job: 440gsm PVC for a bright, solid print, 400gsm PVC-free for indoor displays and venues that ask for it, 260gsm mesh for fences, scaffolding and windy spots, and lightweight Airmesh fabric for fences and events. Banners: questions answered

There are four banner materials. Which one is right for our fete?

For most outdoor banners on railings, walls and shop fronts, 440gsm PVC is the everyday choice. On a long run of fencing, scaffolding or a breezy field, go for 260gsm mesh, which lets the wind through and eases the load on the eyelets. Airmesh fabric is a lighter woven option for fences and events, and 400gsm PVC-free suits indoor displays and venues that ban PVC.

Can I get a banner that contains no PVC?

Yes. PVC-free banners use a 400gsm material made without any PVC. Sizes and finishing choices, from hems to eyelets and ties, are identical to the PVC range, and it works well for indoor displays, shops and exhibitions.

What is the easiest way to hang a banner?

Thread something through every eyelet, whether cable ties, rope or bungees, and pull it tight. Somewhere exposed? Add more ties and bring PVC banners in when strong winds are forecast. One or two bags of ties can be added when you order.

Is there a limit on how many banners I can order?

PVC and PVC-free banners go up to 99 per product, and mesh banners up to 500. Adjust the number and the total updates on the spot, which makes it easy to weigh up options before checkout.

Will my banner cost more once I reach the checkout?

No. The price you see on the product page is the price you pay at checkout for the banner itself. Postage is the only thing added, and it appears as its own line before you pay.

How long does a printed banner take?

Most PVC and PVC-free banners are ready to dispatch 6 working days after your artwork is confirmed on the Saver speed, and mesh banners 8. Faster speeds show their days on each product page, and the courier usually takes 1 to 3 working days.
